Automation Engineer

Your Challenge:

  • Develop automation programs based on functional specifications and participate in drafting technical specifications.
  • Implement new programs, make modifications according to specifications, and perform technical qualifications.
  • Research and integrate components (sensors, cameras, etc.).
  • Manage the stock of spare parts for automation components according to established rules.
  • Troubleshoot automation components and programs, performing tests until recommissioning.
  • Perform backups of PLC programs, Human-Machine Interface (HMI), variable frequency drives (VFDs), etc., according to established rules.
  • Participate in drafting specifications and selecting equipment for new installations and machine fleet improvements.
  • Engage and monitor external automation contractors, verifying the methodology implemented in relation to the IT system’s rules and policies.
  • Manage documentation for components and programs (bill of materials and history).

Who are you?

With a Master’s degree (BAC+5) in automation or industrial computing, you leverage significant experience in the maintenance of automated equipment.

With knowledge of Allen Bradley, Siemens, or Schneider PLCs, you work within a multidisciplinary team and support services to improve and develop our production machine fleet.

You are able to work collaboratively with suppliers. Your proactive approach, curiosity, and priority management skills will be essential qualities for progressing within the department.
