To facilitate rapid prototype development Minitubes now offers a broad range of stock Nitinol tubes.
There is a unique reference number for each tube listed in the spreadsheet below.
Please be advised these tubes are the result of manufacturing overruns and intended for prototype development purposes and may not incorporate the latest process refinements.

We consider that these tubes are not going to be used in medical devices. If it is not the case, please inform us, as we will check that our special medical measures have been, or can be applied to the tubes.
All tubes are available on a first come first serve basis.

If you desire a sorting with regard to dimensional criteria (OD, ID, WT), please e-mail to
implant@minitubes.com indicating your requirements.

1. Technical Characteristic of Each Tube

  • OD/ID Dimensions and Length as Tabulated . The dimensions are average measured values.
  • Ingot Af (per ASTM F2004)
  • Mechanical Condition: Super-Elastic
  • OD Surface Treatment: Mechanically Polished or Black Oxide
  • ID Surface Treatment: Black Oxide


If required, we will slightly reduce the length before shipment to improve the ends finish.
A dimensional inspection of the tube (length measurement + 4 measures taken on OD and WT) is carried out before delivery.

2. Additional Services Offered

A quotation can be provided for each of the services listed below upon request :

  • Centerless Grind Wall Thickness (complementary) to obtain a smaller Wall Thickness
  • “Active” Af on tube by Bend Free Recovery Test per ASTM F2082 – see note 1
  • Chemical and Hydrogen Content Certification of the tube – see note 1
  • Ingot Chemical composition , super-elastic characteristics or active Af data of the lot
  • Laser Cutting
  • Shape Setting
  • Electro-polishing

Note 1 – these tests are destructive and will consume a short sample length

3. Lead Time and Payment Terms:

  • Nitinol Stock Tubing is available on a first come first serve basis
  • Packaging Included
  • All prices are: Ex Works Grenoble, France
  • Delivery: 1 Week ARO
  • Except for previous agreements, the payment conditions are to be determined
